“Vince was a pioneer in the campaign to enhance health fairness in the community and was recognized on a national level for his work in this area.” Vince was well-known not only in South Carolina but also throughout the rest of the country for his work in establishing programs and partnerships that provided medical and social health services to communities that had traditionally been underserved. This is dedicated not only to his family but also to anyone else who has had the privilege of working with Vince or of getting to know him.

Everyone who has ever had any kind of interaction with Vince in the past knows that there is one question that he never gets tired of asking, and that is, “How are the children?”…
Our wish and prayer is that our community will honor his legacy by making an effort to protect the health and well-being of our children and by ensuring that we will always be able to provide a satisfactory response to the question that was posed earlier. This is something that we will do in order to honor him and his legacy. When we say that we hope and pray that our community will act in this way, we mean exactly what you think we mean. We are keeping our fingers crossed and keeping our hopes up that this will indeed be the case.
