Roy Alan Blackwell Death, Obituary – A memorial service honoring the life of Roy Alan Blackwell will be conducted at Cooper Baptist Church on the afternoon of Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., and the Reverend Edgar Evans will serve as the officiating minister for the event. The service will begin at 2:00 p.m. After the funeral service, the burial will take place at Cooper Cemetery, and Jeane’s Funeral Service will be in charge of the proceedings.
Following the conclusion of the service, the burial will take place. Roger Blackwell, David Blackwell, Rodney Blackwell, Robert Blackwell, Randy Blackwell, and Randall Reeves will act as pallbearers during the funeral service. In addition to that, Randall Reeves is going to act as an honorary pallbearer. In the role of honorary pallbearers, it has been requested that Arnold Blackwell, Sydney Graham, and John Lowery serve.
On Friday, December 9th, visitation will be held at the church from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., and then again on Saturday, December 10th, visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Both times, visitation will be held at the church. The memorial service will be place on the 10th of December on Saturday.Roy was born on June 9, 1966, and he died on December 6, 2022, at the age of 56 years old. His birthday was June 9. The 9th of June was his birthday. Roy’s beginnings can be traced back to his hometown of DeRidder, Louisiana.
During his time at Pickering High School and Cooper Baptist Church, he was welcomed as a member at both of these institutions. Roy’s work history in the construction industry includes stints at a variety of enterprises, including Tanner Heavy Equipment and Sydney Graham, to name just two of those businesses. Driving hot rods, going hunting, and fishing were some of his favorite things to do in his spare time. Baseball was another sport that he adored.
Roy Gerald Roger Blackwell was given his name in honor of his late father, Gerald Roger Blackwell, who had already passed away prior to the birth of Roy. His mother, Irma Ruth Jordan Blackwell of Leesville, Louisiana; his son, Randall Reeves of Lake Charles, Louisiana; his daughter, Kaylee Smith and husband Alex of Lake Charles, Louisiana; his brothers, Arnold Blackwell of Leesville, Roger Blackwell of Leesville, David Blackwell of Anacoco, Louisiana, Rodney Blackwell and wife Tammy of Leesville, and Robert Blackwell and wife Brandie of Leesville; his grandchildren are among those who are left behind to honor his legacy
