Blevins, age 83, of Milbourne Avenue in East Liverpool, Ohio, who had previously served as the superintendent of Wellsville Public Schools, passed away on Wednesday, December 7th, 2022 at the East Liverpool City Hospital after falling ill unexpectedly at home. Mr. Blevins had previously served as the superintendent of Wellsville Public Schools. Before he was born on March 21, 1939 in East Liverpool, Ohio, his parents, Lantford “Slim” and Gertrude Moses Blevins, both passed away. He was their son.

His name was Slim Blevins. Paul had spent his entire life in this region and attended East Liverpool High School, from which he graduated in 1957 along with the rest of his class. After that, he continued his education by earning a Master of Arts in Education degree from Youngstown State University. After that, he continued his education at Ohio University. During his time in the Army of the United States of America, he had spent some time stationed in Germany.

In 1998, he decided to take his retirement from the Wellsville Public School System, where he had previously worked as the principal of the high school, the principal of Garfield Elementary (which Paul considers to be the best elementary school in the western hemisphere), and then as the School Superintendent. He had held these positions over the course of his career. Throughout his whole career, he has held each of these roles. In the past, he worked for the East Liverpool Police Department as a law enforcement officer, in addition to his 43 years of experience as a professor at Kent State University.

When Paul first started out in the teaching profession, he was employed at East Liverpool High School. After that, he became the vice principal at Beaver Local High School, where he had previously been employed. During that time period, Paul ran for election to the Board of Trustees for St. Clair Township and was subsequently appointed to serve there for a total of twelve years. He joined the F&AM Masonic Lodge #681 in 1881 and remained a member for the better part of the previous century. Both the Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Order of the Eastern Star Crystal Chapter #18, both of which are organizations for business professionals, counted him as a member at one point or another.

Ivona “Bonnie” Malcomb Blevins, whom he wed on March 25, 1963, is the only person who will be able to carry on his legacy at home. Unfortunately, he died, leaving her behind. Kim Blevins, who was born and raised in East Liverpool, is the only daughter of the Blevins family, which also includes J. Both Cragin and Ramona Blevins make their home in Vienna, which is located in West Virginia. Olmsted Falls, Ohio is the place of residence for Jason Blevins and his wife, Laura Banfield Blevins. Cragin and Ramona have a total of ten grandchildren and one great-grandson between their two children. Zackary, Abbi, Dallas, Dillon, Amber, Jonathan, Elisha, and Joshua Blevins are their names. They are all members of the Blevins family.
