Nathan Sibley Obituary, Death – On September 12, 2015, a Saturday, Nathan Sibley, who resided in Stockbridge, passed away. The cause of death was cancer. Nathan Sibley made his entrance into the world on August 25, 1935, in the county of Oglethorpe, Georgia, in the United States of America. His parents were Nathaniel Harrison Sanders Sr. and Norene Wood Sanders, both of whom had passed away prior to him having children of their own. It was on December 21st, 1957, that he and the late Edna May Kilshaw, who was originally from Rainhill, England, exchanged vows and became husband and wife in Crawford.
During the three and a half years that Nathan Sibley served in the Air Force, he spent time both in Wiesbaden, Germany and Burtonwood, England as a member of two different air bases. It was in England where he had his first encounter with Edna, who would go on to become his wife in the future. Nathan got married to Edna soon after receiving his honorable discharge from the Air Force, and the couple soon after settled down in Atlanta. From there.
Nathan started working for the United States Postal Service, where he eventually rose through the ranks to become a Superintendent until calling it quits in 1992. Even after he had retired, he maintained his standard of living by maintaining a part-time job as a driver for at least another decade after he had stopped working full-time. Nathan’s easygoing demeanor, witty sense of humor, and uncomplicated perspective on life are frequently praised by those around him.
He is survived by his three children: Gary Michael Sanders and his wife Kathryn Jane Sanders, who live in Swindon, England; David Keith Sanders Sr. and his wife Stephanie Lynn Sanders, who live in Williamson; and Kimberley Rose Sibley (Kim), who lives in Stockbridge with her husband, James Reynolds Sibley. Gary Michael Sanders is survived by his three children: David Keith Sanders Sr., who lives in Williamson; David Keith Sanders Sr. and his wife Stephanie Lynn Sanders; and Kim The passing of Mr. Gary Michael Sanders occurred on April 15, 2019.
His grandchildren are James Brandon Sibley, Jessica Danielle Sibley, Brittany Lynn Killimade, Jacqueline Ashleigh Brand, Denise April Payne, and David Keith Sanders Jr. He also has five great grandchildren who are James Brandon Sibley, Jessica Danielle Sibley, and Brittany Lynn Killimade. Raymond Delano Sanders, Nathan’s brother who lives in Stephens and is the only living relative of Nathan’s, is the only one to have survived. His wife of 57 years, Edna May Sanders, along with his two older brothers, Henry Carlton Sanders and Robert Bradley Sanders, all went away before he did. It was true that he was the Sanders family’s youngest sibling.
