Nancy Zoccole Death, Obituary – Learn more about the life story of Nancy, and then write down some of your thoughts and feelings about her. Notice of Death: Youngstown – On the evening of Tuesday, November 29, 2022, Nancy Jean Zoccole, age 79, of Youngstown, Ohio, died away with her family by her side. The kindheartedness, wit, and compassion that Nancy possessed will be ingrained in people’s memories forever. She was the daughter of Harry and Alice (West) Woods and had spent her entire life in the Youngstown area. She was born on April 13, 1943 in Youngstown.

After graduating from Chaney High School in 1961, Nancy began working as a secretary at Jones Oxygen Company, where she remained employed up until the time that she got married and started a family. During that time, she took great pride in being a mother, wife, and housewife for her family. She cherished the time she got to spend with her grandchildren and made sure they were her number one priority at all times. After devoting her time to raising her children, Nancy eventually went back to the workforce. She worked for the Gasser Chair Company for more than a decade until taking early retirement in the year 1990. Throughout her life, Nancy was driven by a variety of interests and pursuits.

Her hobbies included gardening, reading, travelling, going to casinos, and playing scratch-off lottery tickets. She also liked to do lottery scratch-offs. The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Indians were her all-time favourite sports teams, and she never missed an opportunity to cheer for them. In addition, Nancy eagerly anticipated the times when the women of Wooddale Village would get together to play cards, go out to lunch, and go on shopping trips. Nancy’s two sons, Keith (Tami) Siefert of Howland and Eric (Jennifer) Siefert of Kinsman, along with her three cherished grandkids, are all that she has left behind to carry on her legacy and keep her memories alive.

Her three children, Rachel (Matt) Stein, Robbie Siefert, and Zoe (fiancé Nate Weiser) Siefert, as well as her great granddaughter who was the apple of her eye, are all named Siefert. Kensley, along with her two sisters, Sue Corfios of Youngstown and Judy Brown of Austintown, as well as a large number of her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, will be attending the birth of another great granddaughter in the month of January. In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by both of her husbands: her first husband Joseph Edward Siefert, whom she wed in June of 1964 and who passed away in December of 1979; and her second husband Pasquale Zoccole, whom she wed in June of 1991 and who passed away in December of 2009; both of these men passed away before she did.

On Wednesday, December 7, 2022, family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 10:00 am until 10:55 am at the Thompson Filicky Funeral Home, located at 4221 Market St. in Boardman. The funeral ceremony will then begin at 11:00 am. Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown will be the location of the burial services.
