Nancy Thornton Death, Obituary – Nancy Thornton, who was 57 years old, passed away unexpectedly four days before her birthday. We were not prepared for her passing at all, and as a result, we are still in a state of disbelief. Today, we are going to reveal some information that has left us with really sorrowful hearts. A massive ischemic stroke was immediately followed by a massive coronary infarction (at midnight on Saturday night). And before we forget, a huge thank you to the 911 dispatcher who walked Doug through performing CPR until the ambulance arrived, thank you to the medical team at Hanover Hospital and St. Mary’s in Kitchener.
Paisley, Ontario was originally their place of residence, but for the past several years, Hanover has served as their primary place of abode. Doug Kingston has been their partner for the past twenty-one years. It has been fun collaborating with my partner in crime, and I will miss doing so. Jacqueline L. Cassell (Regina SASK) and Glenn Cassell are her brothers, and David Thornton is her brother. Also connected to Jacqueline L. Cassell. Just off the top of my head, I can think of nine people for whom we are the Great Aunt. Cousin to Paul and Leighanne Buckingham, as well as Marion Ross, Joan Armstrong, Lynda Gow, and Jan Unger, who all predeceased her (and her two sisters).
