Michael Mcnulty Obituary, Death – The death of Michael McNulty occurred on June 30th, 2021. Michael is the light that guides us. He instilled in all of us a greater capacity for empathy and compassion toward everyone we encountered. He had a genuine hope for a better world, and he used the time he had to make it a reality. Michael was known for being a connector and a friend to a large number of people. He also enjoyed being active in a variety of activities.
He was active in the theatrical community. Took great delight in his academic accomplishments, particularly pushing himself to his academic limits with his Chinese and other AP students. Participated in competitions alongside his colleagues in baseball, football, and soccer. Enjoyed any and all of the lake’s water sports. And at Hyland Hills, on the hill, with his G-team pals, he discovered the greatest delight of his life. But most importantly, he was the stunning contrast to his amazing twin brother Colin in both appearance and personality. He was all of us, and he will continue to be a part of us forever.
The most fitting tribute you could pay to Michael would be to treat one another with consideration, to be open to new experiences and friendships, and to savor every moment of your lives to the fullest. Think about the incredible gift that Michael was, how he brought light into every room he ever walked into. A memorial service honoring Michael’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 13 at 11 a.m. at the Westwood Community Church located in Chanhassen/Excelsior.
The family requests that donations be made to the Michael McNulty Memorial Fund in lieu of flowers or other forms of expressions of condolence. In the same way that Michael led with love and empathy for others, the purpose of the fund is to assist those individuals who require assistance the most. It will give scholarships to help support our community’s academic and athletic endeavors here at home.
