Matthew McCallan Death, Obituary – An awful and untimely event took the life of one of our students who was in the 12th grade. His name was Matthew McCallan. This has left us in a state of complete and utter despair. Today brought about the worst possible outcome for the parents, family members, friends, and community members who are associated with our school; to have lost Matthew in such a tragic way, we are just completely and utterly devastated. Matthew was a young man who was still finding his footing in life; he was a young man who was still coming into his own.
Matthew was a shy young man who did not exude an abundance of self-assurance. He smiled softly, which gradually spread across his face and brightened it, and then a glint of mischief appeared in his eyes after the smile had completely covered his face. As a result of the fact that he found the more practical aspects of learning to be the most interesting, he decided to major in construction, engineering, and studies of traffic on the road when he was in college. Nothing brought him greater pleasure than working on honing his skills in the workshop, which he went to on a regular basis.
The young man’s father had recently given him a toolbox for Christmas, and if he had been able to keep it for himself, the young man would have been over the moon excited to use it. We have not only lost a member of our school community; the entire world has lost a young man who was brimming with potential, all set and excited to get started on his journey through life and work. We have lost a young man who was brimming with potential, all set and excited to get started on his journey through life and work. Our thoughts are with Matthew’s mother and father, Frances and Peter, as they go through this difficult time. Matthew was his mother and father’s pride and joy.
