Matt Silvestrini Obituary, Former Member Middletown Police Department -Connecticut Has Passed Away - Death

Matt Silvestrini Death, Obituary – After learning of Officer Matt Silvestrini’s passing, the Middletown Police Department is in an unfathomable state of grief, and it is easy to see why. It is understandable why they would feel this way. Yesterday in the late evening, Officer Silvestrini passed away quietly in the familiar settings of his own house, surrounded by the people he loved. It’s likely that the overwhelming majority of you are already aware of the fact that he fought brain cancer for a considerable amount of time, but just in case: the majority of you.
Officer Silvestrini devoted his life to helping the people in his community throughout its whole.

He never gave himself a second thought. Before he joined the New Haven Police Department in 2012, he had a noteworthy career in the United States Army, during which he was stationed in Iraq on two separate occasions for the duration of his service. In addition to that, for a period of time he served as an officer for the New Haven Police Department. During his time with the Metropolitan Police Department, he worked in a variety of roles, including that of an instructor. He was a member of the Firearms Unit and the Emergency Response Team, both of which are components of the Metropolitan Police Department.

The unending love and dedication that Matt had for his family was without a doubt the quality that he possessed that was the most admirable about him. He is the happy husband and father of two lovely children, and he takes great pride in being a parent to both of his offspring. We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to everyone in the community who assisted us in our efforts to raise money for him. On behalf of the Silvestrini family, we would like to take this opportunity to say thank you. We ask that you acknowledge our gratitude in full.
