Mary Kathleen Death, Obituary – The members and friends of Mary Kathleen Durcan (née Reddington), to whom the Castlebar Mitchels GAA Club would like to express its deepest condolences on her untimely passing, are in our thoughts and prayers. Mary Kathleen Durcan, formerly known as Mary Kathleen Reddington, was a part of the club. Mary Kathleen Reddington Durcan, whose married name is now Durcan, was a longtime participant in the club under her maiden name, Reddington. Mary Kathleen Durcan was born and raised in the Mayo county towns of Middletown, Manulla, and Castlebar, all of which are found in that county.
She was born and raised in that very location throughout her entire life. Mary Kathleen was the mother of Kevin, the young coach for our organization. In addition to being the grandmother of Paddy, James, Mark, Gary, Gavin, and Conal, she was also the mother of Kevin. Mary Kathleen gave birth to a son named Kevin. In addition to this, she was Kevin’s mother. Kevin’s kid later went on to become our young coach, therefore she was also Kevin’s mother. Mary Kathleen’s valiant battle against cancer in 2010 was ultimately unsuccessful, and she passed away in the same year.
The cremated remains will be kept at Coady’s Funeral Home on Linenhall Street in Castlebar from four in the evening until seven o’clock on the evening of Wednesday, December 7. This date and time are subject to change. Both the funeral home and the chapel can be found in the Castlebar area. The funeral will start at twelve o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, December 8, and it will take place in the St. Joseph’s Church that is located in Keelogues. Following the completion of the Mass, the funeral procession will make its way to Keelogues Cemetery in order to carry out the last rites for the individual who has passed away.
The staging area for the march will also serve as the front lawn of the church, where the procession will get underway. During this terribly difficult time, we want the Durcan family to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers and that we are thinking about and praying for them. We also want them to know that we are thinking about and praying for them. Additionally, we want them to be aware that we are contemplating and praying for them at this time.
