Mary Gordon Obituary, Chambersburg PA car accident Leaves 1 dead - Death

Mary Gordon Obituary, Death – Early on Sunday morning, a single-vehicle accident that occurred close to the stateline between Pennsylvania and Maryland claimed the lives of nine persons who were from the Chambersburg, Pennsylvania area. At approximately 1:56 in the morning, Mary Gordon, 59, was driving on Little Cove Road when she became disoriented behind the wheel of her 2018 Dodge Journey and collided with a tree.

Deputy York County Coroner Kayla Starner stated that Gordon was airlifted and brought to WellSpan York Hospital where she died an accidental death caused by multiple blunt force injuries. Starner also noted that Gordon’s death was ruled an accident. Both of her granddaughters, who both had ages on their death certificates of “0 years,” were pronounced dead at the Fulton County Medical Center. The remaining five passengers were also hurt, and they were all transferred to local hospitals for treatment. There was also a boy who was 17 years old and four girls who were aged 3, 7, 15, and 16 years old respectively. In addition, a woman in her 30s was transported to the hospital for treatment. The reason of the collision is currently being investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police.
