Kurt Keilhofer Obituary, Death – Clearfield Emergency Medical Services, Inc. would like to offer our most sincere condolences and prayers to the family and friends of Firefighter Kurt Keilhofer, 66, of the Mapleton Fire Department (Huntingdon County), who passed away this morning after being struck by a vehicle while working on the scene of another accident. He was killed in the incident. Georgianna T. Keilhofer, age 89, of Whitehall, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 2, 2018, which was Friday. She was the devoted daughter of the late George Keilhofer and Anna Keilhofer, to whom she was born on September 5, 1928.
Miss Keilhofer was the adored sister of the late Richard “Dick” (Bernie) Keilhofer; the wonderful aunt of Kurt (Kathy) Keilhofer and Mark Keilhofer; the cherished cousin of Roberta (the late Tony) Ross; the devoted friend of Lenore Farmer, M.D.; and the “best pal” of Claudia M. Dezwick. She earned her nursing degree from the Allegheny General Hospital School of Nursing. She continued her education at Duquesne University, where she earned a nursing bachelor’s degree. She eventually graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a master’s degree in social work. She started out as a nurse and ended up working in education and social work during the course of her 45-year career.
There will be no services because that was Miss Keilhofer’s request. Memorial contributions can be donated to an animal sanctuary of one’s choosing in lieu of sending flowers. Cremation & Funeral Care is in charge of the arrangements for the funeral, and their number is 724-260-5546. They are located at 3287 Washington Road in McMurray, Pennsylvania.
