Ken Scott Death, Obituary – I must inform you with a heavy heart that Ken Scott has died away; doing so causes me a tremendous deal of sorrow. It is with a heavy heart that I have to break the news to you. Ken fell, and the impact of the fall caused him to sustain such severe injuries that it was impossible for him to recover. Ken was a lovely man who spent an unbelievable number of hours to help the snowmobile community and grow the sport of snowmobiling. He was a big part of why snowmobiling is what it is today. He had a significant role in the evolution of snowmobiling into the sport that it is today.
There was no other person from whom one could have gained knowledge and guidance who was more trustworthy than him. He spent a significant portion of his career on the Board of Directors for the MSA, which he served on for a number of years. After being elected to the role of Vice President, he was ultimately promoted to the position of President of the United States. After that, he remained on the executive board for a further two years as the immediate past president in order to provide assistance and advice to the newly elected officers. Both he and his wife, Gail, volunteered a significant amount of their time with the Gogebic Area Grooming Club for a long period of time.
During that time, they assisted in the maintenance of snowmobile trails and worked with the Department of Natural Resources to advance the growth of that community. We should consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from Ken, and we should count ourselves among the fortunate. Remember him and his family in your thoughts and prayers, focusing particularly on his wife and the children they have together, and do this especially if you are familiar with the aforementioned individuals.
