Kelsey Palmer Obituary, Death – Kelsey Katherine Palmer, age 29, of Cotuit, Massachusetts, lost her courageous battle with cancer on December 1st with her family by her side after a protracted and difficult battle. Kelsey Palmer, who was born in Falmouth, is the cherished daughter of Tricia and Fred Palmer of Cotuit, the doting sister of Ryan, and the proud owner of Kelsey Palmer Photography. Bubba, her golden retriever. Kelsey attended Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia, after graduating from Barnstable High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society. Roanoke College was her father’s alma mater, which made her father very happy. Kelsey was enrolled in the Honors Program at Roanoke College. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Roanoke University with a major in Sociology, a minor in Psychology, and a concentration in healthcare delivery.
She received her Magna Cum Laude from Roanoke. Kelsey participated in both the Phi Beta Kappa Society and the Chi Omega Sorority during her time at university. After receiving her degree, she started working for the Harvard Medical School on the Football Players Heath Study, where she eventually became the Operations Manager. She also participated in the study. Kelsey pursued her education at Harvard Extension School in the field of industrial and organizational psychology in addition to her work obligations. Kelsey, a trained yoga instructor, maintained a consistent practice both on and off the mat throughout her life. Kelsey is survived by her grandfather, Donald Palmer, of Centerville. Kelsey’s grandmother, Marge Beckler, of Farmington, Maine, as well as her grandparents, Jim and Barbara Harrington, of Mashpee, Massachusetts, passed away prior to Kelsey’s passing.
She leaves behind a large number of wonderful friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom loved and adored Kelsey, and who were loved by Kelsey in return. She will be greatly missed. Kelsey was a young woman who was beautiful, kind, loving, thoughtful, and intelligent; she will forever be remembered for her wonderful smile as well as all of these qualities. All of us here at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and Jimmy Fund Clinic would like to extend a heartfelt and sincere thank you to the extraordinary teams of medical professionals who work there.

Visitation is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, December 6 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, located at 3778 Falmouth Road in Marstons Mills. On Wednesday, December 7 at 11:00 AM, a Funeral Mass will be held at Christ the King Church, which is located at 5 Job’s Fishing Road in Mashpee. After the Mass, the burial will take place at Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit.
