Kay Brooks Death, Obituary – The loss of the wonderful Kay Brooks, who had been a part of our staff and had passed away on Friday evening, came as a complete surprise to all of us. When we found out, it took us by surprise, and it broke our hearts to think about what had happened. Both you and I were taken completely by surprise when you told us about her passing away. Kay was a joyful woman who brought a positive energy to the medical center where she worked. She was a continual source of excitement for everyone around her, as seen by the many laughter and smiles that she drew from all who were around her.
[Case in point:] There is no question in my view that a significant number of you have benefited in some manner from Kay’s assistance and support in some way. In fact, there is no doubt in my mind that this has occurred. In my opinion, there is no doubt whatsoever about that. She was continually helping another person or keeping that person’s child so that the other person might obtain medical assistance. Her motivation was to ensure that the other person received prompt care. She never created any time for her personal wants or pursuits in any way, shape, or form.
Because she will no longer be a part of our lives, each and every member of the team is experiencing a tremendous feeling of loss due to the fact that she will no longer be a part of the team. There is a book of condolences for you to sign, and you can sign it at St. Anne’s or Beltinge, whichever location is more convenient for you. Both of these places have copies of the book available for you to sign. The very last thing that we want to do, but it is not the least important thing that we want to do, is to send our love to Kay’s children and grandchildren, whom she gushed over nonstop and who were the single most important aspect of her life.
Kay, you are always in our thoughts and hearts; we pray that you will finally get the peace and quiet that you so richly deserve.
