John Hobbs Obituary, Doctor And Member Of The Klamath Falls Police Department Passed Away – Death

John Hobbs Death

John Hobbs Death, Obituary – We are sad to inform you that Dr. John “Jack” Hobbs Jr. passed away lately in the city of Dewitt, which is located in the state of Michigan. During this difficult time, we want his family, friends, and loved ones to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers. During the years that Jack worked as a police officer with the Klamath Falls Police Department (1990-2007), during which time we have known him as “Doc,” he earned the nickname “Doc.”

In 2007, he took his retirement from service in that department. He contributed back to our community by serving as a reserve police officer and by volunteering to be a Tactical Emergency Medical Service (TEMS) operator for the Klamath Falls Special Weapons and Tactics team. Both of these positions were incredibly significant to him. Our town’s residents are grateful to him for everything he’s done.

When the KFPD Reserve Program was first getting created, Doc Hobbs was one of the first people to sign up for it and become a part of it. When Doc wasn’t taking care of patients at his medical practice, he offered his expertise as a medic for the SWAT squad and went on patrols alongside full-time police officers. After a couple of months had gone since our last discussion, Doc called to offer his congratulations on my graduation from the FBI National Academy.

Since that time, we have not participated in any additional communication with one another in any way. Since I always received one of those items, I knew I could rely on Doc to send me a birthday card each year or the occasional email to check in on me after he left our department. I knew I could count on him to do either of those things. The remaining members of our department who had the chance of working with Doc Hobbs will surely miss him because he was such a terrific person. We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the time and effort that you have put into serving the KFPD and the community. We wish to extend our thanks to you from the very bottom of our hearts. You will not be forgotten under any circumstances.
