Jim Kolbe Obituary, Death – On July 30, 1949, in the city of Dubuque, which is located in the state of Iowa, Jim Kolbe was brought into this world by his parents, John L. and Audrey Eileen (Simmons) Kolbe. John L. and Audrey Eileen (Simmons) Kolbe resided in Iowa at the time. Following his graduation from Hazel Green High School, he continued his education at the University of Wisconsin in Platteville, which is a campus of the University of Wisconsin system and can be found in the state of Wisconsin.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1967 and worked his way up through the ranks, eventually reaching the position of Staff Sergeant before getting out of the military in 1971. On July 8, 1972, he and Judith E. Kruser exchanged their vows and became husband and wife in Kieler, which is located in the state of Wisconsin. The entirety of Jim’s boyhood was spent in the Hazel Green community of Wisconsin, which is situated inside the boundaries of the state of Wisconsin.
When he made the decision to retire from his post as Public Works Director at the Village of Hazel Green, he had already served in that capacity for the previous 37 years. He has volunteered with the Hazel Green Rescue Squad for the past 41 years, and he has volunteered with the Hazel Green Fire Department for the past 10 years. Both of these organizations are located in Hazel Green. Both of these groups provide assistance to the neighborhood they are based in.
In addition to that, he was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church Parish Council, the Hazel Green Veterans Memorial Committee, and the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church itself. In addition to being a devoted fan of sports, most notably the Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers, Jim found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren, travelling on vacations, and listening to music. He also followed the athletic careers of both teams closely.
In addition to that, he was an avid fan of many different sports teams. Because of his passing, the lives of everyone who knew and cared about him will be profoundly altered by the absence of this man. Jim is survived by his loving wife Judy; a son, Jason Kolbe (Jesse) of Hazel Green, Wisconsin; a daughter, Jenny Handfelt (Chuck) of East Dubuque, Illinois; three grandchildren: McKenzie Kolbe of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, Maggie Handfelt and Nick Handfelt of East Dubuque, Illinois; a sister.
Karol Kolbe of Hazel Green, Wisconsin; a brother, Karl Kolbe of Texas; and also sisters-in-law and brothers Before he did, his grandparents, his parents, a brother named Joseph, his in-laws William and Patricia Kruser, and a sister-in-law named Sharon Kolbe all passed away. His parents had been married to William and Patricia Kruser. William and Patricia Kruser were his biological parents, and they were married.
