Jessica (Jess) Thomson Death, Obituary – On November 4th, 2022, Jessica Thompson, who was 37 years old and originally from Humboldt, West Virginia, passed away when she was a patient at the Pocahontas Community Hospital. On Monday, November 14, at 10:30 in the morning, funeral services are going to be held at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Humboldt.

Visitation will be held at the Lentz Funeral Home in Humboldt on Sunday, November 13, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM. The service will be held there. You are able to view the services in their entirety, as they are being aired live, on the Facebook page of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. In Humboldt, Iowa, on March 7, 1985, Jessica Lynn Renken made her debut into the world.

She was named after her mother, Leslie (Schorzmann) Renken, and her father, Thomas “Chugger” Renken. 2004 was the year that she graduated from Humboldt High School with her high institution diploma. She attended that school. Following that, Jessica finished her schooling at La James in Fort Dodge and earned a degree in massage therapy from there. On August 8, 2015, Jessica and Anthony Thompson got married and became husband and wife in the city of Humboldt.

They exchanged vows throughout the ceremony. She has been a supporter of the American Legion Auxiliary in Livermore for a significant amount of time. Every single second of Jessica’s life was filled with joy and contentment. She had a great deal of fondness for all of the celebrations, the images, and most importantly, her family. During the 15 years that Jessica worked at Subway, she had a great memory for the patrons that she attended to there.

She was a resident of Humboldt for her entire life or of the surrounding area, and she had an influence on the lives of a significant number of people. The world has lost a compassionate daughter, sister, mother, wife, niece, aunt, friend, and peer who was kind, truthful, and had a good heart. The world has also experienced the loss of a daughter. The heavenly kingdom has gained a wonderful new resident in the person of Jessica. She will be remembered with warmth and will not be forgotten at any time.

Those who will always cherish Jessica’s memory include her husband, Tony, of Humboldt; her children Jada (MacKenzie) Renken of Fort Dodge, Hunter and Ava Thompson of Humboldt; her mother and step-father, Leslie and Roger McNeill of Humboldt; her brother Jordan (Olivia) Renken and niece Emma; her aunts and uncles LaRae (Alan) Pedersen, Steve Schorzmann, and Todd Renken Her mother, her father, her grandfather and grandmother, Virgil and Ruth Renken, and Duane and Ellen Schorzmann, as well as her aunt Joan Renken and an uncle Michael Renken, all went away before she was born. She was the only member of her immediate family that had made it this far.
