Jack Mcdonough Obituary, Death – John Delano “Jack” McDonough, 88 years old, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the ManorCare facility located on Locust Street in Davenport. He was a resident of Davenport. On Monday, February 14, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., the Holy Family Catholic Church in Davenport will be the location of the funeral ceremonies as well as the Mass of Christian Burial for the deceased. Mount Calvary Cemetery will be the location of the interment. On Monday, visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Catholic Church of the Holy Family or the Priest Aid Fund for the Diocese of Davenport.

Jack Francis McDonough was the son of Francis and Isa (Robinson) McDonough and was born on December 22, 1933 in Davenport. Jack and Mary Longman were married for a total of 24 years, during which time they welcomed five sons into the world. Jack was a voracious reader who also had a passion for watching westerns and sports. It was one of his favorite ways to spend time with his pals. Jack was a loving son to his mother, Isa, and he took great pride in the accomplishments of his sons.

Those who are still alive and will carry on his legacy include his sons, Tim (Mary) McDonough of Camanche, Iowa, Randy (Carol) McDonough of Iowa City, Rob (Theresa) McDonough of Bremerton, Washington, and Joe (Angie) McDonough of Davenport; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Sue) McDonough of Pueblo, Colorado; niece, Shelly (Jon) Cumming His parents, his son Steven, and his brothers Donald and Dale all passed away before him. He was the last member of his family to pass away.
