Ivan Ogle Death, Obituary – It is with great sadness that we must inform you that Mr. Ivan E. Ogle, a former resident of Mayo, passed away on December 3, 2022 as a consequence of difficulties associated to Covid-19. We are sorry to have to inform you of this. He had already clocked 93 years in his life. He was born on January 4, 1929 in Oil City, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Max Ogle and Hazel Ogle. He passed away on January 4, 1929. He joined the United States Navy in 1946 and served for a total of twenty years, during which time he was honored for his service. After working his way up to the level of first class dental technician, he made the decision to call it quits.

After serving in the Navy for 20 years, he eventually retired and went to work for Dealy Dental Company. There, he worked as an installer and repairman of dental equipment for the next 20 years after retiring from the Navy. In 1950, he tied the knot with Ellen E. Gray, the person who would go on to become the love of his life. When she passed away in 2014, they had been married for a total of 64 years and had been very happy together. In addition, Ivan served as President of the Annapolis Fleet Reserve Club, which is located in Annapolis, Maryland, for a total of four terms during his time there. The two of them enjoyed participating in a wide variety of activities together, some of which included bowling, shuffleboard, and square dancing.

Ivan was a keen golfer who enjoyed spending time on the course with his buddies and watching golf championships to pick up new methods. He also enjoyed watching golf on television.
His son Mike Ogle, his son Mike’s wife Ellen, his brothers Max and Ted, his sisters Ella, Elizabeth, Patricia, and Avis, and both of his brothers Max and Ted all died before he did. In addition to this, he was preceded in death by his son Mike Ogle. His children are Pat Ogle, who lives in Annapolis with his wife Kathy, Kate Yeager, who lives in Queen Anne with her husband Bill, and Kristine Smith, who lives in Easton with her husband Bowie.

Betsy Ogle, his daughter-in-law who lives in Hickory, North Carolina, as well as his sister Retha Bickel are among the people who will miss him after his passing. Not only does he leave behind his loyal grandchildren Keldie, Jennifer, Liz, Amy, Jeffrey, Erin, Caroline, and Brad, but he also has 13 great-grandchildren.
