Hazel Murphy English Death, Obituary – Hazel Murphy English, who had been married to Larry English before he passed away, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home on the evening of Wednesday, November 30, 2022. She was 87 years old. The prior year marked one year after Larry English had gone away. The Reverend Wayne Usry will serve as the officiant for the funeral services that will be held at the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 2:00 o’clock in the afternoon.
These services will take place on Tuesday. The memorial services will be held in honor of a dearly departed family member or friend. The funeral service will end, and the burial will take place in Westview Cemetery immediately after it. Mrs. English was born in the city of Augusta, which is also her maiden name, which is located in the state of Georgia. Her mother, Myrtle Shope Whitaker, and her father, Mitchell Murphy, had both passed away prior to the birth of their daughter. Myrtle Shope Whitaker was her mother, and Mitchell Murphy was her father.
Throughout the entirety of Mrs. English’s 23-year tenure as an optometrist at Murphy and Robinson, John Anderson served as her employer. During this time, Mrs. English held a second job at a separate establishment. In addition, between the years 1981 and 1995, she was a co-owner of Medical Professional Opticians. Her tenure there lasted from 1981 until 1995. Mrs. English is making the most of her retirement years right now.
Her parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents all passed away before her, as did her siblings James Murphy, Billy Murphy, Frank Murphy, and Lois McKee. Her great-grandparents also passed away before her. Her great-grandparents were likewise already gone when she was born. Her devoted husband and son, Stephen Melton, as well as her parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents all before her in death. She was the last of her immediate family members to pass away.
In total, there were seven generations of her family that had passed away before her.
