George A. Reeder Death, Obituary – George A. Reeder, who was 75 years old and originated from Hopkinsville, Kentucky, passed away at the Jennie Stuart Medical Center on December 7, 2022 as a result of natural causes. The day of his passing was Wednesday. Funeral Services will be performed at the Activity Building of the Second Baptist Church on the afternoon of Friday, December 16, 2022, at 12 o’clock noon.
After the service, the interment will take place in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West under the direction of Bro. David Tucker, who will preside over the ceremony. Visitation will take place at Second Baptist Church on the 16th of December 2022, commencing at 10:00 AM and lasting until the start of the service at 12:00 NOON. This event will take place on the Friday. The family has entrusted the care of the Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with the responsibility of directing the services associated with the funeral.
Mr. Reeder was born on December 5, 1947 in Brookville, Ohio. His parents, Floyd and Marie Reeder, had both passed away before to his birth.
George retired early after working for Western Kentucky Gas/Atmos for more than 30 years, during which time he held the position of Gasman. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the period that the country was engaged in the Vietnam War. It had been more than 45 years since he had joined the Second Baptist Church, and he had spent the entirety of that time serving as a deacon there. In addition to his own parents, eleven of his siblings passed away before he did, making the total number of people in his family who died before him twelve.
Kathy Reeder, who has been his wife for the past 54 years and lives in Hopkinsville, is one of his surviving family members. In addition, he is survived by his sons, Ronnie Reeder and his wife Eve of Hopkinsville, as well as Wesley Reeder of Hopkinsville; his brother, David O’Conner of Ohio; his sister, Andrea Morris of Hopkinsville; his two nieces, Rita Coleman and Roberta Cline, both of Hopkinsville; and his nephew, Richard Ross of Hopkinsville. In addition, he is survived by his sister, Andrea Morris of Hopkinsville. All of these folks will carry on after his passing.
