Gen Suchy Obituary, Death – On December 1, 2022, Genevieve M. Suchy (Gen), who resided in both Davidson, North Carolina and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, passed away without incident. Her age was 57. Those who are familiar with Gen are aware of her unlimited energy as well as her passion for her family and her friends. She was a bright light who made an impact on the lives of a great number of people. He was the second of six children to be born to his parents, Frank and Elizabeth Minutolo, on April 16, 1965 in Newburgh, New York. She graduated from Wallkill High School in 1983 and was an active member of the cheerleading squad for all of the school’s athletic teams. In 1987, Gen received his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at New Paltz.

Gen began her professional career in New York with TIAA in 1988, not long after she had graduated from college. She relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina, with her family in the year 2000 in order to assist TIAA in the opening of its new office there. Since then, the Charlotte location has experienced explosive growth. She worked in everything from phone-center operations to corporate events, marketing, and business leadership roles during the course of her career, taking on a range of different responsibilities along the way. She had worked for TIAA for more than 30 years when in 2020 she decided to take the retirement package and pursue other opportunities.

Gen started her second profession as a real estate agent with the Allen Tate office in Davidson, North Carolina. Her goal is to sell real estate while also encouraging other people to move to the Davidson area. Gen, a welcoming face on Main Street in Davidson, always had a brilliant smile and treats for anyone (or dog) who passed by. Main Street was Gen’s favorite place to hang out. For almost two decades, Gen and her family were active participants in the River Run Country Club in Davidson, North Carolina. Recently, they became part of the Port Royal neighborhood on Hilton Head, where she enjoyed playing golf with her circle of friends and walking on the beach with her husband and dog. She found that doing yoga and pilates, which she enjoyed, allowed her to get her mind off of things.

Gen was the most giving person you could ever meet; she would do anything to help the people she cared about and thrived when she was in the company of others. She always made her home available to host a variety of different events, ranging from loud holiday parties to quiet get-togethers with friends. She made sure that her loved ones and friends were doing well on a regular basis by texting them or seeing them for dinner to catch up. She did anything she could to spoil both her daughter and her dog.

Even when they weren’t physically together, she made it a habit to contact her husband at the end of each day to catch up on their lives and tell him she loved him. She took on responsibilities even when it wasn’t necessary for her to do so in order to ensure that it would bring joy to those around her. Gen particularly enjoyed drinking dry red wines, and she always made sure there was cheese in the refrigerator for her guests to snack on. She filled her spare time with activities such as reading murder mysteries, watching romantic comedies and HGTV, and indulging in self-care activities such as getting her nails done and receiving massages.

When she was at home, there was always a fragrant candle burning, and she was one to take advantage of sales whenever they presented themselves. Decorating her homes was one of her favorite things to do because she had a natural talent for interior design. She was extremely goal-oriented and possessed a playful and inventive attitude, both of which shone through in all that she accomplished.
