During this trying time, we are keeping the family in our thoughts and prayers “Hudson said. “As president, I can assure you that maintaining a secure environment for our students and the rest of the campus community is one of my top priorities. A person of interest has been taken into custody, although at this time we do not have access to all of the details.”

According to Hudson, grief counselors are available at the theatre located in the student center. This week at Jackson State is not only finals week, but it is also “High School Day,” which means that potential students are touring the campus.
