Florence J. Scenna Death, Obituary – Flo Scenna, a member of our group who had been around for a very long time, passed away on Wednesday. She had been here for a very long time. We are keeping her and her family in our thoughts and prayers as they go through this difficult time. It has been wonderful having her here with us, and we are going to miss that. On November 30th, 2022, Florence J. Scenna, who had resided in Port Chester, New York all of her life, passed away while she was surrounded by the people she loved the most. She had been dealing with her illness for some time.
She was born on September 12th, 1935, in Port Chester, and her mother, Mary Morano, and her father, Joseph Donato, were her parents. She was the older of the two daughters and had the title of “eldest.” Her parents’ names, Joseph Donato and Mary Morano, were also their names when they were alive. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who devoted her life to taking care of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who fondly referred to her as “Nanny.” She was loved by all of these generations of her family. She was the quintessential example of a matriarchal role for her family, and she leaves behind for them a legacy of love despite the fact that she is no longer with them.
Florence was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees, and she followed the team religiously, watching every inning of every game she could. She would frequently stay up late into the night to watch the game’s encore on the same night, simply to make sure that she wouldn’t miss anything major and to ensure that she wouldn’t have to worry about missing out on anything. On Sundays, she would make these world-famous meatballs and pots of sauce, which a significant number of people will always remember with a warm feeling in their hearts. She was like a member of the family to everyone who became acquainted with her in whatever aspect of life it may have been,
and she worked at a variety of jobs over the course of her life, ranging from working at the Empire Brushworks to working at the Rye Shoe Store. She had a number of jobs over the course of her life. She held a number of different jobs throughout her life.
