Esmae Doucette Obituary, Death –  Brandon Mitchell, age 22, of Jackson, New Hampshire, was arrested for the murder of Esmae Doucette, age 23, also of Jackson. The victim was also a resident of Jackson. Attorney General John M. Formella, Colonel Nathan Noyes of the New Hampshire State Police, and Chief Christopher C. Perley of the Jackson Police Department are the ones who made the announcement. On the evening of November 30, 2022, at approximately 7:24 o’clock, officers from the Jackson Police Department were dispatched to the Dana Place Apartments located on Route 16 in response to a report that a person had been shot there. When they arrived, they discovered Ms. Doucette suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Ms. Doucette was rushed to the Memorial Hospital in North Conway, where doctors worked tirelessly to perform life-saving procedures.

Ms. Doucette ultimately passed away as a result of the gunshot wound, and her death was officially recorded on December 2, 2022. Despite these efforts, Ms. Doucette did not survive the wound.
As a direct result of the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting of Ms. Doucette, a warrant for Mr. Mitchell’s arrest was issued, and he was charged with one count of second-degree murder for violating New Hampshire RSA 630:1-b, I. In addition, the investigation led to the discovery of evidence that implicated Ms. Doucette in the shooting. It is alleged that Mr. Mitchell took extreme indifference to the value of human life when he used a firearm to cause the death of Ms. Doucette. The circumstances surrounding the incident exhibited this extreme indifference. According to the allegations, this happened as a direct consequence of Mr. Mitchell shooting Ms. Doucette.

It is anticipated that Mr. Mitchell will have his arraignment on December 5, 2022 in the Carroll County Superior Court, at a time that has not yet been determined. The exact time of the proceeding is not known at this time. Since the charges and allegations that have been leveled against Mr. Mitchell are merely accusations, he is presumed innocent until and unless it can be demonstrated beyond a reasonable doubt that he is guilty of the offense.
