Earl Parker Obituary, Death – When I woke up this morning, it was with a heavy heart since I found out that our friend Earl Parker had passed away. During the time that Jeff was working as a teacher in Henry County, he counted on him as a trusted buddy. They were such good friends that everyone assumed that Jeff was “Big Earl’s” younger brother because of how close they were. I am sorry that once we graduated from the same school, we did not make more of an effort to continue our friendship and keep it strong.
This is definitely making me reevaluate those friends who I have lost touch with over the years. As the seasons of life change, we always face friendships that either strengthen or weaken simply because of the season we are in. This is causing me to reevaluate those friends I have lost touch with over the years. Earl was a talented singer, a football player for the University of Georgia, and a devout husband and parent.
My soul breaks for his wife, Melissa Parker, and all of their gorgeous children in this difficult time. I have no doubt that he is singing hymns to the Lord up in heaven with that resounding voice! You can tell that he had an influence on a lot of people just by scrolling down his website. It is a privilege and a blessing to have had the opportunity to know him.
