Daviid MacMartin Obituary, Death – On November 6, 1972, Dave submitted his application to the Ontario Provincial Police to become a Cadet with the organization. Following his appointment, he was offered a job with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and given the opportunity to perform his duties at the Brechin Detachment. On February 7, 1974, Dave made the decision to join the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in a capacity that would be permanent.
