David Hazelton Obituary, Death – David L. Hazelton, who lived in the Town of Lafayette in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, and had 73 years of life, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. David L. Hazelton was a resident of the Town of Lafayette.
David Hazelton was born to Orm and Alice (Price) Hazelton on December 21, 1947, in the city of Eau Claire. This event marked the beginning of Orm and Alice’s roles as parents. In the wedding that took place on August 13, 1966 at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls, Mary Martin served as the bride.
Camping, fishing, and hunting were some of David’s favorite activities to engage in while he was outside enjoying nature. David was a big fan of the great outdoors. He was a very sociable person who enjoyed cheering on the Brewers, getting together with family, and getting together with family.
He especially loved family get-togethers. Both playing shake-a-day and getting together with his family were activities that he looked forward to. David is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary; their daughters Michele Hazelton, Brenda Rud (and her husband Scott Robinson), and Tammy Lammers (and her husband Mark Ulvog).
All of Chippewa Falls; their grandchildren Kayla Smith, Christina (Carlos) Avila, Jeffrey Smith, Amanda Rud, Cassie Rud, Tiffany Lammers, and Duane Lammers; 12 great-grandchildren; and their siblings Bill Hazelton of Lake Hallie, Linda Harshman of Eau. His great-grandson, Baby Carlos, as well as his father.
Orm Hazelton, his mother, Alice “Betty” (Victor) Steltzer, his brothers, Don Hazelton and Joe Hazelton, as well as his son-in-law and United States Marine, Cory A. Rud, all passed away before him. His great-grandson, Baby Carlos, as well as his father, Orm Hazelton, his mother, Alice “Betty” (Victor) Ste His paternal grandparents were named Orm Hazelton and Alice “Betty” (Victor) Steltzer. He was named after his father. Baby Carlos, who is his great-grandson, is the only member of his family that he will not be taking with him.
