Dakota Rowles Obituary, Death – On the morning of Saturday, May 27, 2017, at 12:20 a.m., Dakota Rowles, age 70, a loyal and affectionate husband, father, and grandpa, departed his earthly home at the residence he shared with his wife and children in Cross Keys. He belonged to the Rowles family and was a Rowlesian. At the gate of Heaven, he was greeted by the Lord and Savior who was responsible for his salvation. ary L. Rowles Sr. was a devout follower of the doctrines that are associated with the Baptist religion.

He was the son of Earl L. and Virginia (Donaldson) Rowles, who have both passed away since he was born on August 10, 1946 in Lewistown, which is located in Mifflin County. His parents had passed away prior to his birth. He was his parent’s only kid and had no siblings. He wed Marlene (Kirk) Rowles on April 3, 1965; she passed away on January 10, 1991, after nearly 26 years of happy marriage; on June 21, 1991, he wed his surviving wife, Pastor Judy D. (Burdge) Rowles, with whom he has been blessed to share more than 26 years of marriage. On April 3, 1965, he married Marlene (Kirk) Rowles; she passed away on January 10, 1991, after nearly 26 years of happy marriage.

The death of his first wife occurred on April 3, 1965, and the death of his second wife occurred on January 10, 1991, following nearly 26 years of a blissful marriage. Marlene (Kirk) Rowles passed away over a year before her husband, after the couple had enjoyed nearly 26 years of a happy marriage. In addition to his partner, he is survived by his children, Gary L. Rowles, Jr. and his wife Crystal of Winber, Kimberly D. Jones and her husband Richard of Elliottsburg, and Tammy W. Hutchinson and her husband Larry of Honey Grove; his sisters, Barbara Murphy and her husband Stanley of Cross Keys and Connie Merklin and her husband Alan of Chambersburg; and 10 precious grandchildren, including Darren Rowles, Ambra Rowles, Karissa Jones, and Rylee Jones

Before he did, his brother Dale Rowles, his sister Helen Richardson, and two of his children, Brian Keith Rowles and Richard R. “Bozey” Harvey, also passed away. Both Brian Keith Rowles and Richard R. “Bozey” Harvey passed away when they were still very little children. In 1964, Mr. Rowles received his high school diploma from Juniata Joint High School in Mifflintown. Since that time, he has been employed continuously at Laborers International Union of North America, Local 158 in Harrisburg. Mr. Rowles put in his time there up until he reached the mandatory retirement age before he finally called it quits.
