Christian Koch Obituary, Death – Christian James Koch, who was 28 years old and from Sykesville, Maryland, passed away in Frederick, Maryland on December 4th, 2022. He was the devoted brother of Schuyler E. Koch and the cherished son of John V. Koch III and Donna M. Koch. He was known for his love and compassion. Christian’s birthday is May 29th, 1994, and he was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He worked for Northrop Grumman at the Sykesville location of the company’s facility. Both of his grandparents on his mother’s side and his grandfather on his father’s side passed away before him. 2012 was the year that Christian received his diploma from Century High School.
Lacrosse was his lifelong passion, and he competed in the sport throughout high school, college, and most recently as a member of the Westminster Wild indoor box lacrosse team. He played for the Freedom Rec, Century, CMD, and Roughriders lacrosse clubs. He liked spending time with his family dog Gypsy, going camping, riding four-wheelers, hanging out with friends, especially his best friend Brady Sipes, and spending time in the great outdoors. In addition to his parents and sister, he is survived by his maternal grandmother and a large number of aunts, uncles, and cousins on his mother’s and father’s sides, respectively.
On Monday, December 12, 2022, the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the BURRIER-QUEEN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, P.A. located at 1212 West Old Liberty Road in Sykesville, Maryland, 21784. A Memorial Service or Celebration of Life will take place at a later time. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Christian’s name to the Optimist club in your community or to a charitable organization of your choosing. Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA, was in charge of making the necessary arrangements.
