Castlebar Mitchels Obituary, Death – Mary Kathleen Durcan (née Reddington) passed away recently, and the Castlebar Mitchels GAA Club would like to express their deepest sympathies to her family and friends. Mary Kathleen Durcan (née Reddington) was a longtime member of the club. Mary Kathleen Durcan was a local of Middletown, Manulla, and Castlebar in the county of Mayo. She was born and raised there.
Mary Kathleen was the mother of Kevin, the young coach for our organization, and she was also the grandmother of Paddy, James, Mark, Gary, Gavin, and Conal. Additionally, she was Kevin’s mother, who later became our young coach. In 2010, Mary Kathleen passed away after a long battle with cancer. The remains will be kept at Coady’s Funeral Home on Linenhall Street in Castlebar from four in the evening until seven o’clock on the evening of Wednesday, December 7.
The funeral home is located in Castlebar. On Thursday, December 8, at noon, the funeral will get underway at St. Joseph’s Church in Keelogues. Following the Mass, the procession will make its way to Keelogues Cemetery to bury the deceased. The church will serve as the starting point for the parade. During this extremely difficult time, we want the Durcan family to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers, and we want them to know that we are thinking about them and praying for them.
