Barbara Woodworth Death, Obituary – On December 3, 2022, Barbara J. Woodworth, who had lived on Taylor Street in the past and was 72 years old when she passed away in Elderwood at Hornell, had previously called that location home. She was born on March 14, 1950 in the town of Warsaw, New York, and her parents were Joseph Curran and Dorothy Crawford Curran. She was their daughter. She had attended and graduated from Monroe High School in Rochester, which is located in Rochester, New York, prior to moving to Canisteo in the early 1970s. Canisteo is located in the same city as Rochester. She also had previous experience working in the cafeteria at Rochester’s Strong Memorial Hospital.
She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Canisteo, so you could find her there on Sunday mornings. After the deaths of her parents and husband, Thomas Woodworth, she followed them into the afterlife and was reunited with them. Those who are left behind include her sons Scott Lehman and Steven (April) Lehman, both of whom reside in Hornell; her sister Mary Lou Clayton, who resides in California; her brother James (Anita) Curran, who resides in Honeoye Falls; and her six grandchildren, Wyatt, Emmett, Karli, Laciana, Ryiah, and Joshy. Also surviving are her sister Mary Lou Clayton and her brother James (Anita). She will be sorely missed by everyone. Funeral services will immediately follow calling hours, which will begin at 2:00 pm, and will continue until the conclusion of the funeral services. Pastor Jim Patton is going to act as the master of ceremonies for the event. The interment will take place at Canisteo’s Woodlawn Cemetery after the funeral services have concluded. Friends of Barbara’s who would like to do something in her memory are encouraged to give some thought to making a donation in her honour to a charitable organisation of their choosing.
