Ashley Rhodes Obituary, Death –  Two people lost their lives in separate accidents that took place over the course of the weekend in Rockbridge County, as indicated by the reports from the Virginia State Police. Ashley Mason Rhodes, 37 years old, a resident of Virginia Beach, was involved in an accident late on Sunday night. She passed away at a hospital in the area shortly after the accident. She was driving a Nissan Versa southbound on Interstate 81 when, according to the reports of the police, she went off the road, collided with a guardrail, and came to a stop in the middle of the southbound lanes. Following that, a driver operating a Freightliner tractor-trailer that was also heading south crashed into the Nissan. Both vehicles were traveling in the same direction.

The authorities report that the person operating the large truck did not sustain any injuries as a result of the incident and will not be prosecuted as a result of it. On Saturday, there was a collision that took place on Route 631 in Rockbridge County. It has been determined that a man from Buena Vista was the victim of the accident. Nicholas Alexander Boardman, age 29, was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital on December 3 to receive treatment for injuries he sustained in the collision. The information that was provided by the Virginia State Police indicates that Nicholas Alexander Boardman passed away after receiving treatment for his injuries.

Boardman was driving a Ford Explorer SUV in the direction of northbound traffic when, according to the report filed by the police, he veered off the right side of the road, collided with a parked car, and then collided with a tree, which caused the Explorer to flip over. There has not yet been a conclusion reached in the investigation into the crash.
