Anthony Smith Obituary, Death – At the age of 69, Kingsport resident Anthony Smith went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2022, at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was a native of Kingsport and had spent his entire life in this region. After completing his high school education at Ketron, he continued his education at Northeast State University, where he earned an associate’s degree in mechanics. After working there for a number of years, he moved on to join his father and uncle at the Center Dale Service Station, where he eventually became the owner and operator. He had previously worked at Anderson Ford. Anthony attended the Bethel Apostolic Church, where he held a position in the church’s sound booth.
His parents, J.D. and Shirley Smith, had passed away before him when he was born. Anthony is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Audra Smith; his sister, Teresa Chaffin Roberts and her husband, Randy; his nephew, Dustin Chaffin and his wife, Echo; his uncle, Billy Smith and his wife, Charlotte; as well as a number of cousins. On Friday, October 7, 2022, at one o’clock in the afternoon, a graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Memorial Park, with Bro. Chad Byington serving as the officiant.
