Alphonsus Breen Obituary, Death – On the day that marks the fifth anniversary of Brother Alphonsus Breen’s passing (January 5), a Mass of Remembrance will be celebrated in his honor. Mr. Peter Mak, an old boy and a former teacher, will also be honored during this ceremony (who just passed away on 1 December). The service will take place on the chapel of St. Joseph’s College in Hong Kong on the 7th of January, 2023 at eleven in the morning.
Bernice Mary, who had reached the age of 93, went to be with her Lord and was reunited with her husband, Francis, on the Wednesday, February 12, 2015, when she passed away. Her parents, Edward and Valeria O’Donnell, as well as her brother Leo (Delores) O’Donnell, both went away before she did. She is the last surviving member of her family. Bernice will be remembered by her son Michael Breen, who is married to Patricia and will always cherish the memories of their mother.
In addition to these people, she is survived by her brother Robert O’Donnell, her grandkids Chris and Joel Breen, and a huge number of nieces and nephews. She was born in Ireland and moved to the United States as a child. Bernice was a lovely mother and grandmother who put her family’s needs ahead of her own in every aspect of her life. Both her artistic talent as a painter and her green thumb as a gardener will be fondly recalled after her passing.
She worked for a significant amount of years at Michigan Bulb in addition to volunteering for the city’s election process as a poll worker. In addition to being an active member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Parish, Bernice was also involved in a number of senior citizen activity groups in the surrounding area. St. Alphonsus Parish, which can be found at 224 Carrier St. NE in Grand Rapids, Michigan 49505, will be the location of the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial that will take place on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. The service will begin at 11 a.m. It would mean the world to all of us here at St. Alphonsus if you could join us in worship.
